More Stuffed Delights

As a follow up to that last post, check out this Yoda doll. It's a little more impressionist than the Ewok, but it's a very good look.

I had some trouble with the web page under Firefox, but maybe your browser will do better. Even if you just go to check out the pictures, there are some great knitted robots and zombies. Nothing completes the day more than knitted robots and zombies.

Yoda's creator has several more designs on his LiveJournal. Personal favorite: the Angry Sea Jellies about halfway down the page.

Warwick Davis!

Check out this adorable knit Ewok toy on the Craftster.com forum. I know a lot of people found Return of the Jedi to be a weaker entry in the series, and the Ewoks are often cited as one of the major problems with the movie. But I grew up watching Star Wars, and as a kid, I loved the cute furry creatures. They still have a special place in my heart.

I couldn't track down a pattern, but just as eye candy, this is worth clicking. Doesn't it look fantastic? There's a lot more on the creator's Flickr page - check it out!

Awesome Holiday T-Shirts

Check out the merchandise over at Way of the Rodent. They have some fantastic video game t-shirts, with or without holiday theme. My favorite, of course, is the Phoenix Wright "Objection!" shirt. Although that snow katamari is inspired.

Invaders! Possibly from Space!

This is a series of charts that I did a few weeks ago. It's reminiscent of the enemy ships from Space Invaders, but the design has been modified so that it will work in a slip-stitch pattern.

I haven't actually tried this pattern out on anything yet. I'm not sure I've gotten the subtleties of slip-stitch charting down - if the pattern has too much solid color on a row, then it can get messy. If anyone tries this, let me know how it goes. You can download all three here.

I'm releasing these under a Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 license, so feel free to put them into a pattern or improve them.

Skull Chart

Domiknitrix has created and released a great chart for a skull. I know it's after Halloween, but this will give you an early start on next year. Just put it on a rectangle and use it as a decorative table cloth, or as a lining for the candy basket.

Check out some of the very cool applications of this design.
